Update: Almost 2 Years Later

Hello Readers...

Well its been a year since my last update and almost 2 years since my injury (about 2.5 weeks short of my actually injury date). I am happy to report I am doing much better. I will not say I am at 100% but I will say I'm around 80%. It has been a long, longggggggg, journey but I believe I have a new appreciation for all the little things, like walking, running, and skipping through the fall leaves.

I wish I could tell you I could do everything I did before the fall, unfortunately I can't. I am still working on strength building, you can still see a difference in my two thighs and calves and I still find myself favoring my right leg when I am just standing around. I still can't jog or run for more than 10 minutes at a time or walk very well in heels (even little 2 inch ones =(  )

BUT......

Despite all of that I believe I have gained a lot. I am more determined, I eat healthier, and I am stronger mentally because being "broken" for two years was hard. I know what I went through was really hard for me, it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through in my young life. But I am better and though I am not physically stronger, I am stronger for having gone through it.

Even though I have not been able to mentally face climbing again I have not let that stop me from going on some fun adventures. I have gone stand up paddle boarding...

I ran, well jogged, my first 5k!

And I started doing yoga!

I have my next and hopefully final x-ray next week on 11/18/15. I will post a pic of my "new" leg once I see it for myself. I am hoping that I have a fully healed tibia!

Sending Positive Vibes your way
